Cruciferous Vegetables

Cruciferous Vegetables

Eat cruciferous vegetables every day. (Yes, that was a command. It's that important!) The members of the Brassica family, including kale, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, spinach and brussel sprouts, can prevent the spread of cancer and boost liver detoxification.

Cruciferous vegetables contain extracts that are effective at inhibiting lung and colon cancer. Broccoli sprout extract may help prevent recurrence of head and neck cancer. A component called Sulfloraphane can take credit for these amazing benefits, including long-lasting skin cancer protection. Cruciferous vegetables have shown promise in treating depression and anxiety. A 2016 study showed broccoli sprout extract had significant pain blocking results.
